The Basics

Macronutrients are the building blocks of food: protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Macro tracking is not concerned with calories, but from what the calories are constructed. Using a set of macronutrient targets, consider it your job to hit those targets with YOUR choice of food. Your body uses each macronutrient to complete a different set of metabolic processes within your body. ALL of them are important!

This flexible approach to dieting repairs your old relationship with food by getting rid of labels. There are no good or bad foods. Only food. All foods are not created equal in terms of quality, but over time, you will learn to get the most out of what you choose to put into your body while continuing to enjoy the things you love. I teach a system of prioritizing that will allow you to work in the food you look forward to. No need to omit anything unless you’re willing to. Goodbye, food guilt!

What else does tracking macros entail? Measuring and logging your food consistently is key to being successful with macro tracking. Weighing is the most accurate way to track your food. Your body thrives on consistency and in order to determine how your body reacts to a certain set of targets, you must be fully committed to tracking daily and letting go of your old ways of “dieting.” Trust the process and I assure you, change will happen!

As a nutrition coach, my goal is to help you reach your physical potential by repairing your relationship with food, encouraging your physical capabilities, and help you land in a place of peace. The end game is to have you tracking your own macros at maintenance! Depending upon your goals, I work to create and adjust your plan as needed in order to accomplish them. I dedicate myself to keeping you as informed as you want to be along the way.
